Sleek Design
Unlike most industrial PPC units designed for the shop floor, the PPC19W-45GM offers a much softer and elegant look suitable for a non-factory environment yet maintains the Core™ features of an industrial/embedded product such as extended lifecycle and revision control. The ultra-slim design is only 2.75” thick comparable to typical LCD monitors and the plastic finish sports a high gloss finish.
Extended Lifecycle and Revision Control
The PPC19W-45GM is anchored on the BCM MX45GM industrial motherboard which has a 7 year lifecycle. The same stability and control processes that customers have come to expect from BCM’s industrial board line are applied to our industrial PPC.
FCC, CE, UL Certified
The PPC19W-45GM is pre-certified in both system and barebone level. Qualified OEMs can purchase the PPC19W-45GM as a semi-finished unit and add their own CPU, memory, storage, and O/S completing their value-add and not having to recertify the system themselves. This is a major milestone for an industrial PPC enabling many OEMs to offer a sleek industrial PPC without bearing the huge cost burden and engineering expense of ID design, plastic tooling, and certifications. Barebones are only available to qualified OEMs and subject to minimum order quantities.
Performance
The PPC19W-45GM integrates our BCM MX45GM Mini ITX motherboard into an optimized metal frame housing behind the LCD panel with optional touch and wrapped in a black glossy front bezel and rear cover. The system design is based on the Intel® GM45 Express Chipset with Socket P support and the Intel® 45nm Mobile Core™ 2 Duo processor up to 1066 MHz FSB for faster data transfer rate. The integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD supports Blue-ray, 1080P HD and outstanding 3D graphics performance for content-rich applications. The dual display capabilities are supported via external HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs.
External I/O
In addition to the video outputs, the PPC19W-45GM has one RS232 serial port and six external USB 2.0 ports in order to support multiple devices such as card readers, barcode scanners, receipt printers, bill acceptors, and mountable cameras to name a few possible peripherals. The user friendly design has two of the six USB ports located at the side of the display along with the power button, the audio, and the brightness controls for easy access. There are two Gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet ports.
Installation and Package
The PPC19W-45GM is compatible with 100x100mm VESA mountable devices. The Panel PC is operated via DC power through the DC-in connector. A 19V AC to DC adapter and an anti-wobble desktop stand are included in the standard packaging.
Panel PC and Custom Open Frame Fabrication
BCM specializes in custom design and manufacturing for industrial motherboard and board-level to system platforms. Without the front and back cover, the PPC system becomes an open frame modularized design which enables customers to integrate the system into their own Kiosk or equipment cabinets. We are able to custom design the metal for open frame systems to accommodate LCD panels from 7 inch to 22 inch panel sizes according to customer specifications and subject to minimum order quantities.
